About Kist Displays
A passionately creative, highly skilled team of artisans – ready to build your vision.
Family owned and operated, right here in Melbourne
For 12 years we’ve been designing, crafting and building the dreams and visions of some of Australia’s leading retailers and brands.
Initially the brainchild of co-founder Michael – trained as a furniture designer – we started out by creating customised products for the creative industries. But we soon realised we could translate our skills across to events and workplaces to make memorable experiences for more people.
Today, our display plinths and timber furniture have been commissioned by leading Australian brands like Holden, Sotheby's/Smith & Singer, MECCA, Kookai and Tennis Australia. For us, nothing beats quality materials backed by a personal touch, which is why 50% of our business are returning clients.
What we value
Our furniture is made to high standards with a seamless design aesthetic. What we build is both beautiful and illuminating, enhancing any objects they support.
Made to last
Made to last
You won’t find any poorly fabricated furniture here. We’re proud of our manufacturing processes and even offer a refurbishment service to help your products live longer.
At times, you might need something simple in a standard size. Other times, you might need a bespoke solution. Flexibility and choice are cornerstones for us because your vision is worth it.
Let’s face it, life is busy. Our custom designs, delivery services and flexible choices exist to make your life easier. We’re always looking for ways to streamline what we do to give you the best experience possible.
This is how we want you to feel, every step of the way. From that first design right through to installation, we’ll be there to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.
Meet the team
Dedicated entrepreneur and multi-small business owner, Michael is our Lead Designer and Head of Operations in manufacturing Kist Display’s Australian-made fine furniture. He’s the maker of memorable and lasting timber solutions.
Genèvre is the support for our talented team and is the glue that keeps it all together. When she’s not troubleshooting with Michael or the team, she’s helping our clients get the most out of our project when we work together.
Jenna started working for Kist in December 2021, assisting in the workshop learning the tools of the trade while fostering an enthusiasm for woodworking. On her days away from the workshop she teaches Creative Arts at Victoria University and works on her own arts practice performing, filming, drawing and writing.
